This set of 6 books are for beginner readers. The repetition of simple
sentence patterns and sight words have been used to assist children to
memorise, and then later read each book with confidence.
Young children will go through a natural stage of development where they begin to express interest in the written word. It is not uncommon or "wrong" for children to pretend to read a book, often creating their own stories to describe a picture. Allow children to tell you about each page and than take your turn to point at and say each word.
In time children will absorb the appearance of the words and first memorise then later read each sentence. This will provide them with an enormous sense of achievement and enthusiasm for reading.
There are 3 sets of books to be collected, Blue then Yellow followed by Red, with each set being made up of 6 books and introducing new words for practice.
